Wendell Wilcox VIEW PROFILE

Wendell G. Wilcox passed away on December 12, 2015 at his home in Niceville, Fla. Upon graduation from GPN, Wendell enlisted in the U.S. Ariforce where he received training as a hydraulics/pneumatics specialist working on C-130 and F-4 Phantoms at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tuscon, AZ. He would later transfer to Beale AF in CA and work on the SR-71 Blackbird and on to Osan AB Korea, where he met and married his bride, Nicole in 1977.

Upon leaving the service, Wendell entered Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. graduating in 1982 with a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Science and an ROTC commission in the USAF as a 2nd Lieutenant.  In May of 1984, Wendell graduated in the top ten percent of his class from USAF fighter pilot training at Williamns AFB in Mesa, AZ.  Wendell flew F-4 Phantoms for the 497th TFS Taegu AB, Korea, the 37th TFS George AFB, CA and the 90th TFS Clark AB, Philippines.  Wendell retired from the USAF in 1999 after 20 yrs. service.

Wendell is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nicole; daughters Angela Dequesada and Charleen Wilcox of Atlanta GA.; granddaughter Charlotte Dequesada; sister Mary Wilcox and brother Robert Wilcox, both of Mesa, AZ.  He was predeceased by his parents. Wendell believed in helping his fellow soldiers and airmen.  Contributions to the USO and Wounded Warrior Project.  (Wendell did attend our 40th class reunion at Lochmoor in 2014.)

Very sorry to read this. What a wonderful life Wendell lead. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
